Just tried following the steps for unbricking my Redmi 3 stuck on 9008 and it actually worked after the QPST flash. Took me a bit to figure out the factory reset via fastboot, but everything runs smooth now. If anyone needs a reliable video guide while doing this, check out YouTube Vanced for some tutorials.
